JALE (DARBHANGA): Septuagenarian political activist Ram Sundar Yadav sits near the RJD election office at Singhwara. But he says he has little interest in elections and today s politics.
Yadav said. Yadav had worked as local representative of former assembly speaker Ghulam Sarwar who repre-sented Keoti assembly constituency.
Following delimitation, five panchayats of Singhwara block have been shifted from Keoti to Jale.
Though this is a Muslim-dominated constitu-ency, this seat went to the BJP in seat-sharing formula between the NDA allies. Vijay Kumar Mishra (BJP) is once again trying his luck from here. He was defeated by RJD s Ramnivas Prasad by a narrow margin of 200 votes in the last elections.
Mishra, a former MP and son of the late Lalit Narayan Mishra, has pinned hope for his victory on chief minister Nitish Kumar.
